Research by Rajagopal validates the higher improvement value of NPA (Neoloy®) Geocells (Tough-Cells) compared to other geosynthetics

This study by Rajagopal, Veeragavan and Chamdramouli demonstrates that the reinforcement of NPA (Neoloy Tough-Cells) Geocells significantly improves the stiffness and elastic modulus of pavements.

The study provides academic proof, using both a field study and laboratory plate loading tests, that NPA Geocells increase elastic modulus by a factor of up to 2.92. The study also showed that the addition of NPA Geocells increases pavement surface life from 16 years to 20 years, and reduces the thickness of granular layers by as much as 50%.

As a result, the study demonstrates that NPA Neoloy Tough-Cells ensure faster, more cost-effective and environmentally friendly pavement construction.
